Dove Gray Hat for Vicki

This hat was made for Vicki, a very kind and patient friend. 


It is make from a DK weight merino yarn. 

The flowers are of soft, curly locks hand barbered from the sheep, Billy, who has generously provided locks for some of my favorite hats.  The top flower has a 6 mm fresh water pearl in the center.  Each of the larger flowers on the sides has a 9 mm freshwater pearl in its center.

Vicki may see this hat on my blog before I even get it mailed to her.  I hope it's a nice surprise.  And, I hope she will enjoy wearing it for years to come.

Later--- Vicki has received her hat and, as you can see, looks beautiful wearing it. It's perfrect for her lovely face.

    Nice hat, I like looking at the top of the hat and seeing the swirl pattern.

    Mary-
    I think I must be one of the luckiest girls in the world to be honored with one of your beautiful and magnificent creations. I can not wait to see this in person - the pictures are magnificent and I am sure that they do not begin to do it justice.

    I admire your talents and your inspirational designs - this is going to be a treasured hat - I will think of you each time I enjoy wearing it.

    Oh how fun - now I feel famous seeing myself on the blog with your INCREDIBLE hats!! I'm so happy that spring is here~~ but if we could just have one more cold day so that I could wear my hat!!!!
